If you’d like to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will need to go through a couple of safety steps. One of them is getting a unique EPP authorization code from the present registrar – provided that you are the registrant, since the code is emailed to the domain owner’s email and nobody else can get it. You’ll have to give this code to the new domain registrar, otherwise they will not be able to begin the domain name transfer process. The EPP authentication codes are case-sensitive and may include numbers or special symbols such as commas or dots, which can be easily miswritten, so make sure you copy/paste the correct code. As an additional protection measure, the transfer code for a domain may be altered regularly. Certain domain registrars call this code an Auth key, a domain secret or a domain password as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer authorization code for any domain that you’ve registered with us with just a few clicks of the mouse from the exact same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to administer your cloud hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see all your domain names neatly displayed in alphabetical order. In case a certain TLD extension supports transfers between registrars with an EPP code, you’ll notice an EPP button on the right side of the given domain. If you click that button, the code will be sent to the email associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain. If you wish, you can modify the contact information, including the email, without needing to leave this section of the Control Panel, if the current email address is no longer valid.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you’d like to transfer any domain that’s registered under a semi-dedicated server account to another registrar company, you can get its EPP transfer authorization code with several clicks of the mouse from the Hepsia Control Panel. All registered domain names will be listed in a separate Control Panel section. Quick-access controls will permit you to use separate functions. To get the EPP transfer code, you simply have to click on the EPP sign, which will be on the right-hand side of any domain name whose TLD extension supports transfers with an authorization code. Our system will send the code to the domain registrant’s email address, which is currently listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record. If you want, you can modify this email address from the very same section of the Control Panel before requesting the EPP transfer authorization code. The update will propagate instantaneously, so you do not need to wait for the new email address to appear on WHOIS web sites.
